Thank you for your company. Join us tomorrow for more PSL action! For now, it's goodbye and goodnight from me, Rvel Zahid

Have you not been entertained? This game is definitely one for the memory vault. PSL delivered another heart-racing thriller that went down to the wire. The Karachi-Lahore contest lived up to its hype, had us all on the edge of our seats towards the end. Zaman Khan, who bowled his heart out, couldn't believe it when the last ball beat the fielder behind point. It required heaps of experience to eke out a win from the tricky situation and the seasoned campaigner Shoaib Malik orchestrated a composed 27-run cameo that played a pivotal role in this win for the home-side. Let's not forget Irfan Niazi's gritty knock in a pressure-cooker situation. While Tayyab was superb in his second game and Sikandar Raza performed admirably too, the pacers were not on top of their game tonight. Karachi Kings are still in contention after this victory! Here's how the table looks at this stage

Irfan Khan Niazi, Player of the Match: I wasn't getting a proper chance in batting so I thought let's make full use of the opportunity in fielding, got more time today and cashed in (with the bat)...I told Shoaib Malik that I'll support you in this tough time. Shoaib Bhai told me to focus more on improvisation. When you practice and go through process, you don't panic at the middle so I just try to give my hundred percent.

Ali Hasni: "Biryani wins from pulao again"

Mazahir: "Shaheen Afridi should learn the art of keeping cool in these kind of situations because it will give him more harm then any benefit."

Ali Hasni: "You can't expect more thriller match from these national arch-rivals. Full pesa wasool game for those on the ground, on TV and people like me enjoying on espncricinfo"

Zaman Khan to Malik, FOUR runs

Karachi Kings clinch a thriller Oh, dear, Zaman misses the marker and Shoaib Malik snatches the victory from the jaw of defeat, it was a low full-toss with a hint of width, he throws his hands at flays it away past point for a four. Karachi Kings are not out of the tournament yet!

1
Zaman Khan to Hasan Ali, 1 run

Another superb yorker on middle, squirted away in the air to cover, canters across to the other end, can't squeeze in a second, it's not the first time Zaman finds himself in this situation, he is used to this role

Zaman Khan to Hasan Ali, 2 runs

Zaman Khan to Malik, 1 run, OUT

Oh no, chaos! Slung down full on middle, clipped nicely off the pads to midwicket, second was never on but Arafat kept sprinting to the other end, it was too late to send him back and Shai Hope calmly whips off the bails, Arafat stands in the middle of the pitch, looking very lonely, that's a sad sight for Karachi Kings, he knew every step was futile, fielder showed remarkable awareness to hit at the right end. This is getting tense!

Zaman Khan to Anwar Ali, OUT

Over the wicket, slow length ball at middle, he is early through the shot and it ballons up in the air, Zaman sprints to his right and pockets the catch low doing, it's a fabulous diving catch. Zaman Khan holds his nerve, takes a stunner, Anwar Ali just merrily chipped it in the air and Lahore Qalandars are trying their best to spoil Karachi's party and drown out of PSL 9 together

Anwar Ali c & b Zaman Khan 1 (3b 0x4 0x6 10m) SR: 33.33

Zaman Khan will bowl the last over. Can he nail his yorkers?

Chomped down the ground! Pitched up on middle, he exposes his stumps and launches it downtown for a four. That is a great shot!

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Anwar Ali, 1 run

Misses the yorker but no problem, he has whipped that straight into the hands of Fakhar Zaman who has taken a screamer diving forward, Niazi swung hard but didn't get all of it, oh no, the zoom in angle shows the ball bounced off the ground before settling in Fakhar's hands so it's not a clean catch, massive moment! Another twist! Fakhar cannot believe it, Shaheen is having a long chat with the on-field umpire, Fakhar is telling someone in the dugout it's OUT, but it all happened so quickly, the evidence is quite clear, it did touched the ground. it's getting tighter!

18.4
Shaheen Shah Afridi to Anwar Ali, no run

Getting it right in the blockhole when it matters, he digs it out back to the bowler

rameez: "shaeehen and zaman going for runs . Doesn't bode well for Pakistan team in World cup . they have been so off colour "

Wrecked the stumps! Gottim with an absolute cracking delivery, sounded the death rattle loud with serious pace, ball landed on a hard length and jagged back sharply to beat his lusty swing over midwicket and uproots the middle stump

Zaman Khan to Malik, FOUR runs

Bludgeoned! Now both death-overs specialists have leaked plenty of runs in the last two overs and that has turned the tide in the favour of Karachi. Misses his yorker, it's a half-volley, he went deep in his crease and thumped it away in the gap at extra cover for a timely boundary

Zaman Khan to Malik, FOUR runs

Oh, that is classy from Malik! Slower delivery on a length wide of off, waited a touch, and then crunched it past cover for a boundary

Zaman Khan to Irfan Khan, 1 run

Another low full-toss on middle, slams this in the air and just swirls away from deep square, Jahandad does well to cut it off, fielding can be so crucial in these situations

Oh dear, another one! Looks the carbon copy of the previous delivery. Misses the yorker, gets too predictable with the ploy, Irfan Khan gets low and ramps it away like it's bread and butter for him over fine leg for a four. That is high-class batting!
