That's it for today. Tune in tomorrow for the high-voltage contest between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings. Until then, it's goodbye from me, Rvel Zahid, and the entire crew at Cricinfo

Hassan Nawaz, Player of the Match:: I was nervous early on but not later when I got set. Wanted to go run a ball. Talked to Wasim about taking the game deep. I think Wasim deserves a lot of credit for this win. My plan was to take the ball on the body to target leg-side but they were bowling outside off-stump but then there were a few drops and that changed the complexion of the game

One of the rare matches this season with innumerable twists and turns. The game kept seesawing until the very end. But sloppy fielding towards the end from Islamabad United cost them the game as Nawaz kept his calm and got Quetta over the line. It was an exhilarating and engrossing affair that had everything. It was also lovely to see how involved Sir Vivian Richards was, with a whole buffet of emotions on display

6
Muhammad Shahzad to Hasan Nawaz, SIX runs

Touch short on middle, shifts his weight back and sends it miles over deep backward square for a six; Quetta win the cliffhanger, what a sensational game of cricket that kept us hooked right till the end

19.4
2
Muhammad Shahzad to Hasan Nawaz, 2 runs

On a length and angled in at middle, goes for the pull and gets a thick top-edge and it's beyond comprehension, third drop in a short span of time, keeper runs back, third man runs in, nobody calls for it and gets out of the way, Gous dives and it pops out of his gloves, Quetta have got luck on their side, they have got so many lives

19.3
6
Muhammad Shahzad to Hasan Nawaz, SIX runs

Fraction short and just outside off, loses his shape but still manages to get decent enough connection to send it sailing over long-off for a six, that will calm Quetta's nerves. Two dropped chances and now this will salt on IU's wounds; brings up his fifty but that doesn't matter, the match is on a knife's edge

19.2
2
Muhammad Shahzad to Hasan Nawaz, 2 runs

Another drop at short third, back of a length wide of off, throws his hands at it and runs across and it brushed fielder's fingers but most importantly for Quetta it dribbles away to the rope

19.1
Muhammad Shahzad to Hasan Nawaz, no run

Short of a length and meandering outside off, he slices it in the air and it stayed up in the air for a while, Mayers and Shahzad run in at point, Mayers stopped and Shahzad got the ball and fluffed it, he is absolutely livid with himself

Naseem Shah to Mohammad Wasim, OUT

He does swing and gets a faint edge according to the on-field umpire who raises the finger quickly, it was a snorter in the channel and he threw the kitchen sink at it, troubled by the pace, trying to smash it across the line, ball is close to the bat. Wasim wants another opinion. There is a spike and he has to go

Naseem Shah to Hasan Nawaz, 1 run

Superb wide yorker, opens the blade and nurdles it to short third man up in the ring; 15 to win the game, little too steep but gettable, Wasim needs to swing

Pulls his length back, effort ball that rises steeply, millimeter from hitting the top of his helmet but he crouched too and he asks for a wide and everyone sees the funny side of it

18.2
Naseem Shah to Mohammad Wasim, no run

Back of a length, nibbling away in the channel, swing and a miss. Polite inquiry for a caught behind, Salman wants another look. ball is nowhere near the bat, excitement getting better of IU

Naseem Shah to Mohammad Wasim, FOUR runs

Over the wicket, short of a length and shaped outside off, he plays a glorious cover drive and it's been timed to perfection, no need to run for that
