At a meeting earlier this week, the Gauteng Cricket Board elected its new committee of selectors. They have gone for two very experienced passed players.
Dr Mohamed Moosajee, a well-known doctor was elected as the convenor of selectors. He captained Transvaal and SA Schools and represented Transvaal before unity. During the Bangladesh tour recently, he travelled with the South African team as the team doctor.
Steven Jack was also elected onto the selection committee. Steven played for Transvaal from 1990 to 1997, and represented South Africa in 1994 and 1995.
