An update on Simon Jones` injury

Here`s the latest news about Simon Jones, who has been working hard on his rehabilitation over the course of the past few months following his nasty injury whilst on tour with England in Australia.

Simon is making excellent progress, especially given the nature of his knee injury and the type of reconstructive surgery that he subsequently underwent.

His recovery is such that he is already able to run at approximately 50% of his normal full pace. He has also been bowling off a short step, but he still has a very long way to go. However, it's heartening to note that his recovery is ahead of schedule, and at the moment, there is the slightest of chances that Simon may well take to the field towards the very tail end of the 2003 season.
