ASK Varma hits ton as Andhra falters

The Cooch Behar Trophy quarterfinal match played at Sir Parshurambhau College Grounds, Pune on Tuesday saw Tripura edging towards a comfortable position. Starting the second day at 315/9 Tripura were bowled out for 327 in the 102nd over. Andhra batted for the rest of the second day and were 214/8 in 85 overs. Tripura captain R Ghosh who had hit a brilliant fifty in the first innings, followed it with an excellent bowling performance bagging 4/41. The shining light of the Andhra innings so far has been ASK Varma who made 111 runs before he was run out. Varma's innings lasted 230 balls as he smashed a dozen boundaries and a six.
