Everything came together nicely for Australia in the second Super Series match on Friday as they took an unbeatable 2-0 lead over the Rest of the World side in Melbourne. But though the series has been won, the bookies still can't split the two sides and bet365 make them both 5/6 (1.83) to win the final match on Sunday and show everyone that they remain the world's best one-day side.
The manner of their victory at the Telstra Dome on Friday bodes well for Sunday's game. While the Rest of the World side looks a bit disjointed - two runs out doesn't do much to help team harmony - the Australians have bounced back superbly from their Ashes defeat. Adam Gilchrist, one of those to struggle in England, looks back to his very best and the even better sign for the home side was that their bowlers got the job done even without Glenn McGrath, who was rested.
McGrath should return for the final game, and that just makes Australia an even more attractive proposition for victory on Sunday. The Ashes showed how important momentum can be in a series and Ricky Ponting will not want to let up for a second, particularly given the strength of the Rest of the World's batting line-up. Brian Lara and Jacques Kallis have been their two biggest disappointments so far, but they will come good before long and if they do, then the Aussies will have a battle on their hands. Much may depend on the toss on Sunday as the chasing side has found the going tough in the opening two games.
Cambers' Call: Australia to beat Rest of the World - 5-6
