Cowboys and Giants to rack up points

Week six of the NFL season and it's a tough choice to make in terms of the biggest game of the weekend

Week six of the NFL season and it's a tough choice to make in terms of the biggest game of the weekend. The unbeaten Indianapolis Colts try to make it 6-0 when they welcome the St Louis Rams on Monday night, while the return of Ricky Williams to the Miami Dolphins line-up will capture much of the attention when they play Florida rivals the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, Sunday's game between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants is my pick of the weekend.
The Cowboys went pretty much under the radar in the first four weeks of the season as they won two and lost two of their opening four games, but they burst through with a fantastic all-round performance last Sunday when they hammered the Philadelphia Eagles 33-10. The defence harried the injured Donovan McNabb into submission but the offence was even better, scoring on six of their first seven possessions as Drew Bledsoe, a veteran at 33, showed that he still has it, opening up the Eagles defence with a superb range of passing. The ground game worked superbly too, and the Eagles, tipped by many as a potential Superbowl team, were torn apart.
The Giants, too, have looked a different team this season, with Eli Manning has begun to emerge from the shadow of his elder brother Peyton. The Giants have scored a mammoth 136 points in their four games, and twice they've broken through the 40-point barrier. Gone is the hesitancy which affected Eli and the offence in 2004 and they are one of the most entertaining teams in the NFC. The Giants are coming off a bye week, and though that means they'll be fresh, they have a suprisingly poor record in such weeks, winning just three of 16 games.
Tiki Barber will lead the Giants' rushing game and if he and Manning get room to work, then the Cowboys will be in for a tough time. The last time the two met, in January of this year, the Giants edged it 28-24. Picking a winner of this one is a tough call, but instead it could be another high-scoring game. bet365 make it 10-11 that there will be 47 points or more in the game, and that could be a decent bet. At any rate, it means you can cheer every score.
