Matthew Elliott has been ruled out of South Australia's ING and Pura Cup matches against Western Australia, while Ryan Harris, the allrounder, will miss the ING game. Elliott, the opener, had been suffering discomfort in his right knee during the past couple of weeks and will consult an orthopedic specialist on Friday to determine the cause of the problem and plan remedial action.
Harris suffered post-operative inflammation in his left knee following the ING Cup match against Queensland on November 4. He underwent a fitness test at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday and pulled out of the one-dayer against Western Australia on Saturday.
Cameron Borgas, the 22-year-old batsman, has replaced Elliott in the ING Cup side, while Mark Cosgrove has been drafted in for the Pura Cup game, which starts on Monday. Gary Putland comes into the ING Cup squad in place of Harris and Trent Kelly has been named as 13th man.
