Michael Vaughan will go head-to-head with England team-mate Paul Collingwood when Yorkshire take on Durham, while Steve Harmison and Liam Plunkett are available for the match against Worcestershire, at Chester-le-Street, today.
Following his maiden Test double century Kevin Pietersen is available for his second one-day outing of the season for Hampshire who take on Glamorgan at Swansea. Andrew Strauss, in need of some runs after a slow start to the season, will face up against his former opening partner Marcus Trescothick when Middlesex play Somerset at Lord's.
Warwickshire, who currently lead the North Conference, are boosted by the return of Ian Bell against Worcestershire after his recovery from a stiff back, which meant he couldn't field during the second Test. Alastair Cook will turn out for Essex, against South Conference leaders Surrey, at Whitgift School.
Matt Prior, fresh from scores of 126 and 75 in his first two Tests, returns for defending champions Sussex and Ryan Sidebottom, after taking eight wickets at Headingley, can play for Nottinghamshire.
Monty Panesar is currently playing in Northamptonshire's County Championship match against Gloucestershire.
