England virtually unbackable at 1/200

England push Australia out to distant outsiders

After a third tumultuous day of Test cricket at Edgbaston, England stand on the verge of a fabulous victory which will level the series at 1-1. With Australia still needing 107 to win but with only two wickets remaining, bet365 make the home side 1/200 (1.00) to win the match, while Australia, with all their recognised batsmen back in the pavillion, are now 16/1 (17.00) to pull off a remarkable turnaround.
Having begun the day 7/10 (1.70) for victory, the bookies were still wavering after they were bowled out for 183, with Australia still favourites to take the match. But after an heroic bowling effort from Andrew Flintoff, who'd earlier starred with the bat, they were slashed to an almost unbackable price. Australia remain 4/6 (1.66) favourites to take the five-match Ashes series, but England have been cut to just 5/2 (3.50), while a drawn series is now a viable proposition at 18/5 (4.60).
