Eton College 198-8 in 41.2 overs [Target reduced to 194]
(Timothy Hawk 78, Edward Fielding 25; Landro Minors 2-20, Jim West 2-35)
Eton College evened up their tour record by posting their second win against an Under-19 East side by two wickets in a rain-affected match. The local boys batted first and posted 219 thanks to 72 from Chris Foggo and 49 from skipper Stephen Outerbridge. The pair put on 107 for the fourth wicket. The visitors did not help their cause by conceding 61 extras including 33 wides. Edward Williams and Sam Collins both picked up three wickets. In reply, opener Timothy Hawk (78) and middle-order batsman Edward Fielding (25) shared in a 59-run fifth wicket partnership to steady the ship after they had been delicately placed at 99-4. Landro Minors and Jim West both claimed two wickets but that was not enough as Eton College scraped home in near darkness to end the closest match of the tour.
Match 5 - Thursday April 20
Eton College defeated Under-19 All-Stars by 23 runs
[Match reduced to 43 overs per side due to rain]
Eton College 155 in 41.5 overs (Edward Fielding 47; Ben Phipps 3-30)
Under-19 All-Star 132 in 38.1 overs (Jessie Belboda 21*; Sam Collins 4-18)
The visitors made sure that they did not leave Bermuda with a losing record by winning their third game and second in succession. Batting first, after being delayed by rain, Eton were quickly in trouble at 30-4. However, Edward Fielding (47) resisted the attack and guided his side to a respectable 155. Ben Phipps (3-30), Jason Williams (2-19) and OJ Pitcher (2-20) were the pick of the local bowlers. The All-Stars run chase was thwarted by a magnificent spell of seam bowling from Sam Collins (4-18). He accounted for Chris Foggo (0) who made 72 the previous day. Alastair Dalrymple supported with 2-26. Jessie Belboda (21*) was unable to find late-order support after the Under-19s were reduced to 87-7, eventually losing by 23 runs.
Match 6 - Saturday April 22
Eton College lost to All-Star Select by 155 runs.
All-Star Select 270-9 in 50 overs (Chris Foggo 74, Stephen Outerbridge 44 Clarkie Trott 42; Sam Collins 3-48)
Eton College 115 in 31.4 overs (Harry Smith 20; Brian Gibbons 4-31, OJ Pitcher 2-10)
Eton College concluded their Bermuda tour by suffering their heaviest defeat against an All-Star Select. The locals batted first and amassed 270-9 with Bermuda youth international Chris Foggo (74) scoring his second half-century against the tourists in three outings. Stephen Outerbridge (44), Clarkie Trott (42) and OJ Pitcher (32) were the other contributors. Sam Collins completed a fine tour claiming 3-48. Eton College succumbed to the medium-pace of Brian Gibbons who took 4-31. Harry Smith with 20 topped the batting. A feature of most of the matches were the amounts of wides conceded. In the final match, the All-Star Select bowled 22 wides while Eton College had 21.
Having watched most of a World Cup football qualifier the following day between Bermuda and Antigua, the Eton side absorbed the last of the tropical sunshine before jetting off on a late flight back to the United Kingdom with a record of 3 wins and 3 losses.
