During the tea interval of Hampshire's last home National League match on Sunday, Club President Wilfred Weld, presented Hampshire's popular and highly respected first team scorer Vic Isaacs, with a momento to honour his 25 years service to the club.
55 year old Isaacs, started scoring for Hampshire in 1975, and in that time has become one of the most respected figures in his field. Apart from the scoring, which over the 25 years has developed from the original scorebook, to lap top computers, he has taken on the duties of public address announcer. He keeps the members and public informed of all that is happening, and as one of the leading statisticians in the game, he shares much of his wisdom. His often witty aside at the misfortune of a miss-parked vehicle or other calls, keeps the public amused.
Appointed by Desmond Easgar in 1975, Isaacs has now taken on the responsibility of the Hampshire Web Site, which has become one of the largest sites for any one club on the Internet.
