The Hong Kong Cricket Association is saddened to learn of the death of former HKCA President Hatim Ebrahim in Singapore on 20th September 2007.
In a tribute to Mr Ebrahim, current HKCA President Terry Smith writes, "Hatim was a first class cricketer who played Ranji trophy in India and until injury prevented was close to selection for the India side. He was a stalwart for the India Recreation Club during the 70s and 80s in Hong Kong and subsequently contributed to the administration of the Association in various capacities including selector, sub-committee chairman, president and vice president."
"Both on and off the field he was an elegant, kind and courteous man with a strong love of the game who thoroughly deserved the perception of all who knew him as the perfect gentleman cricketer. He remains part of the rich history of the game in Hong Kong and will be very much missed by all his many friends here and around the world."
