The innings which Rohit Sharma played against Bangladesh helped steer India into the Semi-finals of World Cup 2015, as they thrashed Bangladesh by 110 runs in Melbourne on Thursday.
Sharma, with scores of 16, 64, 7, 57 and 15 in the run-up to the Quarter-Final, came good against a confident Bangladesh-unit.
Sharma made the most of MS Dhoni's decision at the toss to bat first and along with Shikhar Dhawan got India off to a solid 75-run start in 17 overs.
Sharma didn't buckle under pressure even when Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane fell in quick succession. He and Suresh Raina combined forces and added 122 for the fourth wicket.
Sharma took 108 balls for his hundred and then added 37-runs more before he was dismissed. His effort helped India score 302 and his knock qualifies for the #BendTheRules Moments of the day.
