India women name squad for England tour

India women have named a 14-player squad for their tour of Ireland and England which begins in July. Mithali Raj will continue to lead the side, while Jhulan Goswami will be vice-captain. Preeti Dimri and Nidhi Buley are in line for their international debuts.

The tour kicks off in Ireland on July 29, where India will play two back-to-back one-dayers before heading to England for a warm-up against an England Development XI and then the MCC.

Then the fun really starts, with England looking to avenge their 4-1 series defeat in India in December. Charlotte Edwards leads the England squad, which will be announced later in July, in a series which comprises five one-dayers, two Tests and a Twenty20 match. Laura Newton will be vice-captain.
