At Durban, May 14, 2009. Royal Challengers Bangalore won by two wickets. Toss: Chennai
Super Kings. Chennai Super Kings 129 (19.4 overs) (M. L. Hayden 60); Royal Challengers
Bangalore 132-8 (19.4 overs) (L. R. P. L. Taylor 46, V. Kohli 38). Royal Challengers Bangalore
2 pts. Man of the Match: L. R. P. L. Taylor.
Hayden punched another 60 runs from 38 balls, but had little support at the other end (the nexthighest
score was Dhoni's 18). Kumble opened the bowling and kept the runs down, finishing with
4-0-12-2, and Kallis (4-0-18-2) also ensured that the brakes remained on. Enterprising innings
from Virat Kohli, who took calculated risks against Muralitharan, and Taylor ensured that Bangalore
ended Chennai's five-match winning streak.
