Wisden's review of Delhi Daredevils v Kings XI Punjab, Indian Premier League, 2008-09

15-Apr-2010
At Bloemfontein, May 15, 2009 (floodlit). Kings XI Punjab won by six wickets. Toss: Kings XI Punjab. Delhi Daredevils 120-9 (20 overs) (K. D. Karthik 32; B. Lee 3-15); Kings XI Punjab 123-4 (19.1 overs) (K. C. Sangakkara 43*). Kings XI Punjab 2 pts. Man of the Match: B. Lee.
Punjab needed to win to keep their semi-final hopes alive, and did so in the end mainly thanks to their fast bowlers Lee and Sreesanth (4-0-20-2), who kept the Delhi total down. Punjab themselves stuttered to 35-3 before Sangakkara steadied the ship, and finally Irfan Pathan arrived to bludgeon three sixes in the last two overs, from the inexperienced Pradeep Sangwan and a rusty Farveez Maharoof.
