The following are the media arrangements for tomorrow, Friday 3 November, and Saturday 4 November.
ICC Champions Trophy
Australia will play the defending champions, the West Indies, in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2006 at the Cricket Club of India on Sunday 5 November, starting at 1430.
Ahead of that, Australia is practising at the venue from 1000 on Friday 3 November. For media opportunities, please contact Australia team media manager Graeme Vimpani on +91 98 73 80 80 59.
The West Indies (together with losing semi-finalists South Africa) will arrive in Mumbai from Jaipur on Friday morning at 1055 on Jet Airways 9W 376. The team is not scheduled to practice on Friday. For media opportunities please contact West Indies team media manager Imran Khan on +91 99 79935375
Both teams will hold pre-match media conferences on Saturday 4 November. ICC Pitches Consultant Andy Atkinson, who has been assisting the curators at CCI to prepare the pitch for the ICC Champions Trophy final, is also expected to be available to the media during the course of the day. Details of those media opportunities will be announced in due course.
Re-accreditation for the final - With space in the media areas likely to be at a premium, media wishing to attend the ICC Champions Trophy final MUST register their names and organisation with Sami-ul-Hasan, the ICC Communications Officer. Once they have done so they will be entered onto a list and will be issued with accreditation for the final on arrival at the venue on Sunday morning. Many members of the media have already indicated their attendance via email but if they have not already done so they should be aware they run the risk of being prevented from entering the venue on Sunday.
Sami-ul-Hasan can be contacted on +91 98 73 80 80 34 or via email at sami.ulhasan@icc-cricket.com
ICC Awards 2006
The ICC Awards, presented by Hyundai in association with FICA (the Federation of International Cricketers' Associations) will take place at the Taj Land's End Hotel, Mumbai on Friday evening 3 November.
Media that have already registered to attend will get the chance to cover the event. There will be two main opportunities for media on the night. Access will be granted as the players and guests arrive at the venue and there will be media conferences held with the winners on a rolling basis as the awards are presented.
A media centre will operate on the night for working journalists. This will include telephone lines, desks, television screens with a direct feed from the main function area, press conference facilities, buffet-style catering and ICC staff available to provide assistance. Journalists in the media centre DO NOT have to wear black-tie attire as the access to the main function area is strictly limited.
Only the ICC's official photographer, Getty Images, will have access to the main function area to obtain pictures from inside the function. Images from the main function area will be available from Getty Images with details to be advised in due course; all other photographers will have access to the arrival of the guests and to the media conferences that will follow the presentation of each award. Black-tie attire is not required by photographers but they, in common with all other media, will still have to apply for accreditation.
The event will be telecast by SET Max, the host broadcaster. Footage of the event will be available to media outlets for news-related purposes only.
Media should assemble at the Taj Land's End Hotel from approximately 1730 onwards.
Media requiring further information on the event should contact James Fitzgerald on +971 50 640 1223.
ICC Board meeting
The ICC Board meeting starts on 3 November at 0900 at the ITC Sheraton Hotel, Parel, Mumbai.
The meeting will take place over two days, Friday 3 November and Saturday 4 November, and will include a meeting of the Executive Board and the IDI Board - the ICC's commercial arm.
There will be no formal media opportunities on Friday 3 November but ICC President Percy Sonn and Chief Executive Officer Malcolm Speed will hold a media conference at the conclusion of the meeting, on Saturday 4 November. The conference will take place in the C.K.Nayudu Hall, Cricket Club of India, Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. The time is obviously dependent on when the ICC Board meeting concludes but given the fact the majority of media will already be at the CCI for Australia and West Indies pre-match preparations the idea is that by holding the briefing there it should cause journalists the minimum of inconvenience.
Photographs- Getty Images will photograph the scene as the Board meeting commences on Friday. Those media outlets requiring the images should contact Getty Images' picture desk on +44 207 4286161 or via email at gins.picturedesk@gettyimages.com
Vision - Arrangements have been made to pool shoot the start of the meeting and for that vision to be available thereafter. Details of how to access the vision will be announced in due course.
The ICC Champions Trophy involves the top ten ODI sides playing 21 matches over 30 days at four venues with the final to be held at the Cricket Club of India in Mumbai on 5 November. The West Indies are the defending champions after beating England by two wickets at The Brit Oval in September 2004.
