James Neesham hit 20 runs in five deliveries to bring up a last-ball win for New Zealand Under-19s against an ECB Under-17 side at Sleaford CC. The tourists needed 26 off the last over, chasing 314, but No. 9 batsman Neesham hit two fours and two sixes off James Burke to complete a remarkable two-wicket win.
Harry Boam, who has a Wellington contract, was the pick of New Zealand's bowlers, with 2 for 44 from eight overs against the country where he was born. He also scored 47.
The teams play another warm-up match, this time a two-day game at Sleaford starting Wednesday, before the visitors play the first Test against England Under-19s at Taunton on Sunday.
