With the series as a contest over already, New Zealand should probably expect a better effort from West Indies in the remaining two matches, but the home side are considered a certainty with bet365, who make them 1/4 (1.25) to win the fourth match in Napier on Wednesday.
West Indies have not been that bad in the opeinng three matches, but they have also not been good enough to win one of them. That said, there is not a great deal between the two sides on paper, and West Indies are 11/4 to win in Napier.
The Black Caps have an impressive record at McLean Stadium too, having won 15 of their 25 one-day internationals there. The two sides have only met there once, with New Zealand winning that one too.
Nathan Astle, who has been the star of the show for New Zealand so far, is joint favourite at 4/1 (5.00) with his captain Stephen Fleming, while Lou Vincent is 9/2 (5.50). Peter Fulton is 5/1 (6.00).
West Indies desperately need someone to stand up and take some responsibility, a situation underlined by the fact that bet365 make Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Ramnaresh Sarwan and Chris Gayle joint favourites at 4/1 (5.00). Wavell Hinds and Daren Ganga are 6/1 (7.00).
