Karachi, Dec 31: Former captain Rashid Latif excelled with the bat in
the Shah Floodlight Trophy at the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium on Thursday
evening when he guided Malir Gymkhana to a eight-wicket victory over
A.O.Cricket Club.
Rashid scored an unbeayen 60 with five fours and two sixes to steer
his team past AOCC's paltry 92 in 11.2 overs with eight wickets to
spare.
Earlier, AOCC were rocked by some hostile past bowling by Tanvir Ahmad
and Mohammad Hasnain to finish at 92 for nine from 20 overs. Tanvir
and Hasnain bagged two for 16 runs each.
Extras were the top scorer with 19.
On Friday afternoon in the A.O. Super Cup at the same venue, Mian
Azmat Professionals defeated A.O. Blues by eight wickets.
