Pakistan: National Selection committee disbanded

Karachi, Dec 24: The national selection committee has been disbanded
by the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Lt-Gen Tauqir Zia,
the PTV announced on Friday evening
The selectorial matters will now be looked after by the advisory
council that was named today by Lt-Gen Tauqir, the chairman of the ad
hoc committee of the PCB.
No PCB official was available to brief on the development regarding
the selection committee whose selected squad has been retained for the
second leg of the Australian tour.
"I have not been informed of the disbandment of the selection
committee," remarked Salahuddin from Lahore on telephone, adding: "I
heard the news on television."
Iqbal Qasim and Masood Iqbal were the members of the outgoing
selection committee.
