PCB announces basic regional courses for umpires

Realizing the need for providing qualified umpires at grass root level a programme for training of local umpires has been planned by the Pakistan Cricket Board. These training courses for local umpires will be held at eight different centers throughout the country including Azad Kashmir and will be conducted by Pakistan Cricket Board National Umpiring Council members as per following schedule:-
A total of 236 candidates have been nominated by District Cricket Associations to undergo the subject courses. The syllabus designed for these regional courses will provide sufficient awareness to the participants about the laws of cricket, technique of cricket umpiring. These courses will enable them to conduct the local matches with confidence. No TA/DA is admissible to the participants who will undergo the subject courses. In case any person is keen to attend such course whose nomination has not been sent by District Cricket Association should contact chairman NUC Mr. Mahboob Shah, National Stadium Karachi, at Telephone No, 021-4991950 and Res. 021-711645.
