Presidents XI game provides valuable match practice

A much better day in store with fine weather although a little cool. Quite a busy day lined up with numerous miniature bats and t-shirts to autograph for upcoming promotional events.

We had a short training session in the morning before packing our gear bags and travelling into town for a 50-over match against a combined Presidents XI/CLEAR White Ferns side at Hagley Oval.

This game provided the squad with some valuable match practice before we head to Oamaru on Friday to begin the first of three warm up matches against the England side.

Haidee Tiffen, Debbie Hockley and Helen Watson provided the batting highlights whilst Erin McDonald in particular maximised the conditions, picking up three valuable wickets in an excellent bowling spell.

The game finished relatively late so it was back to Lincoln for a quick bite to eat before getting organised for our early departure tomorrow morning to Oamaru.
