Rayudu to lead Indian under-19 team

Ambati Rayudu has been named captain as the Indian under-19 team which will participate in the four-nation Videocon Asia tournament, to be held in Pakistan from October 31 to November 6. Robin Singh has been named as coach of the squad. Announcing the squad, Ratnakar Shetty, secretary of the Indian board, stated that all the players will undergo a three-day camp at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai before leaving for Pakistan. Dinesh Kartik, the Tamil Nadu wicketkeeper, has been named vice-captain. The squad was picked after the selection committee - headed by Praveen Amre, the former Indian Test batsman - saw a batch of 25 probables play a couple of matches at the Brabourne Stadium.
Apart from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are the two other teams in the tournament.
