The second day of the first match at the Hampshire Rose Bowl, gave the healthy crowd a good array of runs and wickets.
Resuming at their overnight score of 232-6, Hampshire 2ndXI through Jackson and Brunnschweiler shared a promising 88 run partnership, before both fell in the 40s. A total of 68 extras help the home sides cause.
Sussex started well with Khan and Clapp hitting half centuries, the warm sun hardening the wicket and making the outfield faster, giving it full value for attacking shots. The re-introduction of Savident to the attack put on the brakes.
Sussex with 6 six wickets in hand trail Hampshire by 110 runs.
