Sri Lanka's bowlers are the major beneficiaries while its batsmen are the major losers in the LG ICC ODI Player Rankings after the team's 3-0 series win over Bangladesh.
Pace sensation Lasith Malinga moves up four places in the bowling list after taking four wickets in two ODIs and he now stands ninth overall, replacing Bangladesh's Abdur Razzak, who drops three places to 12th but remains his country's highest-ranked bowler.
Malinga's team-mates Farveez Maharoof and Dilhara Fernando have also make significant improvements in the table. The fast bowlers have climbed 10 places each with Maharoof sharing the 22nd position with India's Zaheer Khan while Fernando now occupies 34th place.
Bangladesh spinner Mohammad Rafique, who missed the ODI series, drops two places and is currently ranked 18th while fast bowler Syed Rasel's five wickets in the series have helped him climb eight places to joint 28th position, alongside Corey Collymore of the West Indies.
There is no movement in the top five with Shaun Pollock of South Africa still out in front, from Nathan Bracken of Australia in second spot, New Zealand's Shane Bond in third and the Sri Lanka duo of Chaminda Vaas and Muthiah Muralidaran in fourth and fifth positions respectively.
But while the Sri Lanka bowlers have made the best of the series against Bangladesh, the same cannot be said for the side's batsmen as the experienced trio of Sanath Jayasuriya, Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara have all dropped down the LG ICC Player Rankings for ODI batsmen.
Jayasuriya, who scored 53 runs in the series, slips one place and is now ranked 15th while Jayawardene has fallen four places to 16th after managing only 29 runs. Sangakarra's 40 runs in the series has cost him three places and he now stands at 20th in the list.
Shahriar Nafees is the highest-ranked Bangladesh batsman in 38th spot while captain Mohammad Ashraful sits in 60th position.
There is no change in the batting top three with Ricky Ponting of Australia leading the field, from Kevin Pietersen of England in second spot and another Australian, Michael Hussey, lying third.
Although Jayasuriya's batting failures have allowed India captain Rahul Dravid to move up the list - he now shares 13th spot with West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul - the Sri Lanka left-hander's success with the ball has seen him jump up two places in the LG ICC Player Ranking for ODI all-rounders.
Jayasuriya, who became the first player to score 12,000 runs and take 300 ODI wickets during the second match, has pushed Chris Gayle of West Indies and England's Andrew Flintoff into fourth and fifth places respectively in that table. The South Africa duo of Pollock and Jacques Kallis still head the all-rounders' list.
The clean sweep of the three-match ODI series has allowed Sri Lanka to draw level with Pakistan on 111 rating points in the LG ICC ODI Championship table. However, Shoaib Malik's side retains fourth place in that table when the ratings are recalculated to three decimal points.
