England batsman Michael Vaughan has succeeded Matthew Hayden at the top of the Test world batting ratings.
Two low scores for Hayden in Australia's first Test victory over the West Indies in Guyana have seen him relinquish the place he had held since last October.
Vaughan, with 877 points, takes over largely on the back of his prolific 2002. The Yorkshire batsman scored four Test centuries last summer and added three more in the winter's Ashes series.
Australia's one-day captain Ricky Ponting is the biggest mover in the top 10, moving up four places to number six.
