England v South Africa, 4th Test, Headingley, Day 5
Michael Vaughan: "Over the five days, South Africa were more disciplined and played smarter cricket than we did. Full credit to Gary Kirsten ... he was outstanding and probably the difference between the two sides. We were in a similar position at Lord's before bouncing back at Trent Bridge and we have to regroup and get back to doing disciplined stuff."
Graeme Smith: "This was a fantastic team performance, the boys were hungry to do well here and it showed. The boys showed true character because England bowled well on the first day. The tail was excellent and it was a great performance from Monde Zondeki, he definitely stood up to be counted."
Gary Kirsten: "We decided before the Test match that someone was going to need to step up to the plate and we put ourselves in a difficult position but in the end we got ourselves a reasonable total. For me personally it was great to come back and put in a good Test win. Last time I was here at Headingley we lost in 1998; hopefully now we can go to The Oval and win the series."
David Graveney: "It's not all doom and gloom and the fifth and final Test has to be approached in a positive frame of mind. England have to step up to the plate and deliver. Whoever is in the XI has to do that."
