Uttar Pradesh held all the aces at stumps on the second day of their
Central Zone Cooch Behar Trophy (under-19) tournament game against
Vidarbha at the VCA ground in Nagpur on Monday. Forced to follow on,
177 runs behind, the home team were 35 for three in their second
innings at close of play.
Replying to UP's first innings total of 354, Vidarbha were all out for
177. Only AS Naidu (52) and opener AV Deshpande (47) put up a
semblance of a fight. Following on, opening bowler Upadhyaya grabbed
two wickets in his first over and a third in his third over. By stumps
Vidarbha were struggling to avoid an innings defeat.
