Zoe Goss back in Australia squad

Western Fury captain Zoe Goss is a shock selection in the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars squad for the 2000 World Cup in New Zealand in December.

Goss hasn't represented Australia since the World Cup in India three years ago.

The allrounder is one of four Western Fury representatives in the squad of 25, along with Cherie Bambury, Avril Fahey and Elwyn Campbell.

The selection of Bambury and Fahey follows excellent performances against New Zealand and England in Australia this summer, while Campbell toured New Zealand with the Commonwealth Bank Shooting Stars (youth team).

Goss, who helped Fury to runners-up in the Women's National Cricket League this summer, represented Australia A when they took on and beat the Southern Stars in a warm-up to the international matches.

The Shooting Stars Youth Squad has also been selected with WA's Emma Murphy included, while WA under-19s Kelly Tyrell and Renee Chappell are invitees to a training camp.
