0.2 to MDKJ Perera, so much for that. Dolly of a catch at cover and Kusal has to trudge off. Sucked into a flick because this was a fullish delivery angled in at him. But he has gone for the shot far too early. Leaps off the leading edge and settles snugly in the hands of Imad Wasim. Thats about as good as a bright and shiny welcome mat from the hosts to the visitors. 0/1 35.6 to LD Chandimal, thats mistimed! Thats a catch. Thats well taken! Chandimal was looking for that pick up shot over square leg again, but this time its a slower ball. The lack of pace dupes him. Hits the bottom of the bat, his bottom hand had flown off the bat. Clearly not in control of the shot and Yasir at long leg takes a very good, high catch. 170/4 49.3 to SL Malinga, simple catch to Rizwan at midwicket. Its short, it was cramping Malinga for room even though he was moving away down leg. Tries to swat the ball away, but only manages to find the fielder. 252/9 | ||||||||||

44.3 to TAM Siriwardana, taken! Rizwan, you beauty. Its a fuller delivery outside off, Siriwardena was looking to drive on the up and gets a thick outside edge. It is on its way down, but Rizwan keeps his eyes on it, dives low and takes a very good catch. 215/6 46.3 to SMA Priyanjan, looks to clear the covers, only ends up offering a dolly to Hafeez at cover. The cross-seamer, at a fuller length and outside off. Priyanjan clears the front leg and goes for a slash. Gets it off the bottom of the bat and has to walk off. 228/7 | ||||||||||

30.4 to AD Mathews, theres the problem with pulling the trigger too early. Mathews is livid with himself. Ran down the track to an offcutter and toe-ends the strike straight to mid-off. Very soft dismissal for a batsman of his caliber.. 143/3 | ||||||||||

41.1 to HDRL Thirimanne, that was clean! Shehzad into the act again, top effort this time. Into the slog sweep again, and this time he does connect quite well. Hits it high, hits it behind square. Shehzhad has to run to his left, dive as well and is horizontal with the ground as he pouches it. This time he makes sure the ball doesnt pop out by awkwardly smothering it against his chest. 186/5 | ||||||||||

22.3 to TM Dilshan, sneaks through him! Its the arm ball, pitched a shade short of a length. Dilshan things it is an opportunity to cut. Realises there is no room, so he tries to adjust his stroke and use a straighter bat. But he is not quick enough in getting it down. Stayed low too, which might have been the major cause for his dismissal. End of a very good innings from the veteran, but he wouldnt like that it ended too early. 109/2 | ||||||||||

31.2 to Ahmed Shehzad, oooh, he fall short of his century! Its back of a length and outside off, Shehzad gets under the ball and looks to ramp the ball to the third man boundary. But that age-old problem he has about not picking gaps haunts him. Made pretty good connection as usual, which is why it travelled that far. He sucked Hafeez down the track with a little flight, got the ball to pitch before the batsmen reached it, shaved the outside edge. Then the keeper lunges for it with hard hands.
