If both teams are bowled out well before their allotted 50 overs with very low scores it is not good. These kind of pitches, bowlers just have to put the ball in the right areas and the pitch will do the rest. No other skill is needed. You are right about c grade pitch.

Everyone says that it's India's second strength team. But I believe that these players are also India's main XI

@Vettipayyan ... Who said every bowler is caned in domestic cricket? There have been umpteen instances of superb bowling performances by pacers/seamers/spinners in Indian circuit ... bowlers with ability as well as ideas will adapt to conditions soon ... it is sheer lack of these that prevent Indian bowlers from shining abraod ... a good wicket should still give something to both batsmen and bowlers ... wherever it is

Humourous and well thought off as always .

    Superb pitch.

    Really testing one.

More and more matches should be played on pitches like this.

    Class A+ Pitch

Domestic pitch should be prepared to behave like this one.

Hats off to curator who prepared this pitch.

So Rohit sharma's 200 in Bangalore was on a great and this one is a bad pitch! Talk about being a batsman's game!

Dont know why every one from fans to cricketers start shouting once there are low scoring matches. A proper batsman or fan, for that matter, should know that these kind of pitches bring the best contest among bat and ball.

When there are 300s scored in ODI's no one asks for inspection of pitch, but yell for removal of such low scroing pitches. What stupidty!

Still remember the Aussie team crying for a low scoring thriller test match in Mumbai during their "Final frontier" tour in 2004. That was a great test match as per me.. True test of batsman.

Domestic players should be made to play compulsarily in such pitches to improve their batting and bowling.

Feel sorry for bowlers from India because they rarely carry any sort of confidence with them on overseas tours, after being caned in every match in Domestic matches. They turn into containing bowlers than wicket taking ones!

we won't blame a pitch as "C" if Both the teams score more than 350 on a day. It's good to have a match in bowling paradise as they have in batting paradise.

  • RAJARAMAN on June 18, 2014, 13:12 GMT

Good analogy ... It was certainly a "bad" pitch ... there must be even chance for batsmen and bowlers ... otherwise it becomes one-dimension match

It was really nice to see the quickies relishing this pitch! Wonderful... I would suggest BCCI to use its money and power to dig this entire pitch and place it somewhere in India.. so that more Indian quickies can develop great skills while they travel to the Australia or to SA.
