England-Sri Lanka ODI rescheduled
The fourth ODI in England's tour of Sri Lanka has been shifted from December 6 to 7 to accommodate for a Buddhist holiday. The series, beginning on November 26, has seven matches - four in Colombo, two in Pallekele and one in Hambantota.
The reshuffle allows for a reserve day for the third ODI on December 3. With the north-east monsoon in mind, five matches have reserve days. Only the fourth and seventh ODIs do not have that provision.
Both teams are coming off a break from international cricket. England lost their last assignment to India by a 3-1 margin in September. Sri Lanka would have fonder memories having beaten Pakistan 2-1 in a three match series in August. They had also got the better of England in England this summer, where the won the lone T20, took the ODI series 3-2 and played two nail-biting Tests to win 1-0.
