Karachi, July 13: A 16-man Pakistan cricket squad returned from
Colombo, Sri Lanka, here on Thursday afternoon. Waqar Younis proceeded
to Australia while Shahid Afridi has stayed back.
In Sri Lanka, Pakistan won the three-Test series 2-0 but lost all the
four triangular series matches, two each to Sri Lanka and South
Africa.
Prior to that, Pakistan won the tri-nation series in Sharjah, West
Indies and Dhaka. Two umpiring errors denied Pakistan a chance to win
the St John's (Antigua) Test which the West Indies won by one wicket
to clinch the three-Test series 1-0.
The team, which returned today, is: Moin Khan (captain), Inzamam-ul-
Haq (vice-captain), Saeed Anwar, Imran Nazir, Younis Khan, Yousuf
Youhana, Mohammad Akram, Shabbir Ahmad, Abdur Razzaq, Azhar Mahmood,
Arshad Khan, Shoaib Malik and Mushtaq Ahmad.
Javed Miandad (coach), Brig Khawaja Mohammad Nasir (manager), Nauman
Niaz (assistant manager).
