Group A

Danish Kaneria's superlative 8 for 59 put Habib Bank Limited in pole position against Sui Southern Gas Corporation at Quaid-e-Azam Park. Sui Southern Gas Corporation were forced to follow-on after being shot out for 162, and had lost four wickets for 62 at stumps on the third day. Kaneria was in imperious form, accounting for most of the top order, with only the wicketkeeper Ahmed Zeeshan providing some resistance with his 110-ball 45. However, it was Fahad Masood who did the most the damage in the second innings with 3 for 14. SSGC still require another 271 to avoid an innings defeat.
The captain Khalid Latif and Afsar Nawaz failed to prevent Karachi Whites from conceding a lead against second-placed National Bank of Pakistan at the Southend Club Cricket Stadium. Irfanuddin picked up a five-for and ensured the tail did not put up a fight. Nasir Jamshed's quickfire 51 off 37 balls and Rashid Riaz's unbeaten 59 then helped NBP stretch their lead to 268 and they ended the day on a strong 161 for 2.
A high-scoring encounter at NBP Sports Complex saw Agha Sabir powering Pakistan International Airlines to 443 in their first innings against Pakistan Customs. His 203-ball 160 along with half-centuries from Fahad Iqbal and Faisal Iqbal put PIA ahead by 133. But Customs came back strongly with opener Rameez Raja, who scored a swift unbeaten 76, and Rameez Aziz seeing them through to 127 for 1 at stumps.
Play was disrupted in the tie between Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in Sargodha. Wajahatullah Wasti could only add nine runs to his overnight 47, bringing up his fifty in the process, as ZTBL stayed 85 ahead.

Group B

Resuming on 59 for 4 and trailing by 236, it was always going to be uphill for Quetta against Sialkot at Jinnah Stadium. And right-arm spinner Tariq Mahmood put them out of their misery to hand Sialkot victory by an innings and 137 runs. Tariq took 4 for 26, while Nadeem Javed and Nayyer Abbas picked up two apiece. Ata-ur-Rehman was the highest scorer for Quetta with a fighting 34.
Akbar-ur-Rehman's polished 84 meant Karachi Blues managed a slender lead of 12 against Peshawar on the third day at the United Bank Limited Sports Complex. However, Peshwar finished on 95 for 2 at close of play with Sajjad Ahmed looking good with an unbeaten 43. Rehman's 114-ball effort comprised 11 fours and a six and a cameo towards the end from Tabish Khan ensured Karachi just nosed in front. Right-arm seamer Imran Khan was the pick of the Peshwar bowlers with 4 for 43.
Usman Zaeed brought up his hundred on the third day at the Mirpur Stadium to give Rawalpindi a 127-run lead against Faisalabad. His 262-ball 130 included 14 fours and a six as Rawalpindi were bowled out for 379. Left-arm spinner Saadat Munir was the most successful bowler for Faisalabad, picking up 5 for 101 while Asad Zarar finished with three. Zaeed's innings failed to inspire any of the middle and lower order batsmen.
No play was possible in the match between Islamabad and Multan at the Diamond Club Ground.
Play was also not possible on the second day in the match between Lahore Ravi and Hyderabad at the Lahore City Cricket Association Ground.
