Sachin hasn't been performing for a very long time. It is time that he retires before he turns out to be a liability for the team. He is the best player in the world so he better retire before he makes a fool out of himself. Moreover, with the likes of Dhawan, R Sharma, and Kohli in the team, Sachin has little left to do.

As long as Sachin Plays we will see him. He just have to be in team we don't need to him to perform. Other 10 will perform for 10dulkar, Isn't that enough ?GOD is always in our life and our life is cricket. How can life be without GOD

I still cant believe some of the folks here talking about Sachin not contributing to the team's victory. Look mate, if not for Sachin, your so called MATCH WINNERS wouldn't have even picked a cricket bat in hand or for that matter their parents let them pick one..end of story! It was only because of Sachin dragging a pathetic Indian side along with him that we even had a team going. Else people would've ditched the national cricket team ages back. There was one complete decade with only Sachin winning games for us or even getting us close to wins when everyone else failed. Where were your Legendary Match winners then?? so, quit talking about Sachin not winning matches for India n get a life, for heaven's sake! As for his retirement, it was just like one of his signature straight drives..Immaculately timed!

The GREAT,The MASTER,The LEGEND,The one and only, SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR !! I am one of his biggest fans. This Little Legend has worked hard for 30 years and is in International scene for the last 24 years.8 Prime Ministers of India have changed since the arrival of the Master.I think he timed his Retirement well but I wanted him to play at Lord's for one final time and get a century there. But,somethings never happen . Sachin timed his Retirement well in Tests but he should have played series against Pakistan or against England so that we could have enjoyed watching him one final time playing in blue jersey of India. But, Sachin is Sachin . He only himself knows when to Retire.I just don't want him to join Politics. He should either become the Coach of Indian team or be a commentator.I love him,the whole of India loves him! He,now, should be given the Highest Civilian Award of India,The BHARAT RATNA. He is truly the Pearl of India.

He should have retired along with Laxman as it would have given 10 Tests at home (helpful conditions) to some one like Rohit/Rahane to play at home and feel more cmofortable away.

With due respects to Sachin's performance, records & contribution to Cricket, I would like to weigh his real contribution to the cause of team & his country.
No doubt his records will be too big to surpass, yet, it was built over 24 years' career & not 10-15 years of playing years - like many players get to play.
As discussed by many, Sachin has - nearly - never contributed for a winning cause. I don't remember any of his innings which remain in memory like Laxman's Kolkata heroics (281 against Aus) or Ganguly & Dravid's partnership at Taunton (WC 1999) and many such innings of lesser mortals.
Nobody bothers to realise that Sachin always had the security of playing with more reliable players like Dravid, Laxman & Ganguly. They were denied of their rightful place under the sun because of Sachin.
Even their exits were unceremonious they never deserved this kind of insult. Yet, today Sachin gets a created platform to play his 200th Test - that too against chosen scapegoats - Windies!! Wah
Do you agree with ICC's move to scrap the ODI batting Powerplay?
Did you enjoy the England-New Zealand ODI series?
Do senior players deserve a farewell series?
