17.2 to M Klinger, fullish and straight, the only place he can swing it over the top of the bowler but the fielder runs backward and takes a good catch, end of a good innings. 153/3 17.6 to TP Doropoulos, short of length and hit straight to long-on! second wicket of the over this, Borgas takes a good low catch at long-on as Theo tries to back away and hit it over the top, it is too quick for him and goes to the fielder. 154/4 19.4 to KA Pollard, length ball and outside the off, he goes to slam it over the straight field but mistimes it and it goes high in the air, Gayle from the covers rushes in and takes a simple catch. 176/5 19.6 to CJ Ferguson, outside the off stump, he was going away to give himself room and can only tap it to Gayle at short cover, it went quickly but well caught. 177/6
4 | 0 | 43 | 1 | 10.75 | 6 | 3 | 2 | 0 | 1 | |
16.5 to NJ Reardon, shot and what a ripper of a catch! team-work at its best, it seemed like going all the way but the fielder at long-on pedals backward and gets both his hands on it, the momentum is taking him outside, so he throws it back and the fielder from long-off takes it with ease!. 148/2

11.2 to TP Ludeman, gone this time, Zampa has his first BBL wicket here, it was quicker on the middle and turning away, the batsman went down the track and wants to play his favourite slog over mid-wicket, misses it and is easily stumped. 81/1

16.3 to SJ Coyte, bowled him! it was full, straight and fast, the batsman was giving himself room but got nowhere close to getting his bat to that one and it sneaks through to hit the stumps...perfect yorker with perfect results. 115/7 16.4 to CP Tremain, bowled him first ball! not quite a yorker but it was quick, and it was straight and the new batsman misses it completely while defending on the front foot, hits the off stump to get his second wicket in as many deliveries. 115/8 18.4 to A Zampa, fuller and on the off, and he has hit it straight up and it goes straight down to the long-on fielder, that is the end of that then. 126/10

2.2 to MJ Cosgrove, length ball on the off stump and he went for a drive at that pace, goes straight to the mid-off fielder, caught! did not middle that one at all and the Thunder have now lost their first. 13/1 4.1 to Azhar Mahmood, that is plumb as it can get and given! That was straight and really rapid, Mahmood got himself into a very awkward position trying to play it across the line, misses the ball by a mile and once it had thudded into his pads, it was always going to be lbw. Umpire thinks for a second on the height and then gives it. 16/2 17.5 to RGL Carters, fullish on the off stump and he has hit it straight to the long-on fielder! well taken too, Putland had to move to his right and does well to get it low. 123/9

7.3 to CH Gayle, Gayle gone, caught at deep mid-wicket! Pollard is a happy, happy man, to have gotten his West Indian teammate out, it was shorter, slower and Gayle went for a pull, but got no timing on it, straight to the fielder kept there for this very stroke and Thunder are three down now!. 40/3
3 | 0 | 24 | 2 | 8.00 | 8 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 0 | |
9.2 to SA Abbott, fuller and chipped to short cover! it was not as short as the previous one, length ball at best and the ball seemed to stop on the batsman, who was trying to push it through the covers, it spoons up to give the fielder one of the simplest catches you would see, four down now Thunder. 56/4 11.2 to CJL Rogers, gone, bowled off a wrong 'un! he was going down the track and wanted to play it through the leg side but he misreads it, was a wrong 'un and not the conventional leggie, beats the outside edge and hits the stumps...half the side's gone. 63/5 |
