28.3 to JD Campbell, a maiden Test wicket for the Razor! Full ball outside off. Bit of angle in. Campbell drives at this half-volley but the ball takes an edge to first slip. Rae with a sedate celebration.. 93/3 58.6 to JP Greaves, Hammered in and gets it to nip away a fraction from fifth stump line, the bat hung out and the ball took a faint outside edge, Hay takes a regulation catch and the double-centurion from the last game departs. Massive breakthrough! Lured him with a tight off-stump line delivery and he went feeling for it, ended up getting a feather edge and West Indies find themselves in a spot of bother. 182/6 60.3 to KAJ Roach, lbw appeal, massive one, looked very good. With NZ having three reviews left and WI having four wickets in hand, this is a risk worth taking, and Latham goes up. Not too full, but full enough and the ball generates extra bounce after pitching. Roach is pushed onto the back foot to defend and he misses getting bat on ball. Raps him in front of middle stump and that's crashing into the top of middle stump. The Razor earns a third wicket. 184/7 | ||||||||||

16.4 to BA King, Short ball and nipped back sharply and hit the front pad, elicting a strong lbw appeal and he gets the desired response from the umpire! Looks high to me and it's been sent upstairs for another look. Thumps the pads and half of the ball is hitting the top of leg-stump so the on-field decision stands. Feet weren't moving much and wasn't able to get behind the line, got sharp inward seam movement, one of those decisions that could have gone either way, it was adjudged out on umpire's call. 66/1 18.6 to KAR Hodge, Touch short and swaying in at middle, tailing in and curling it just enough to sneak through the gap and the bat doesn't come down fast enough and he manages to trap him lbw, all of a sudden this session is looking good for New Zealand now. Pitching outside off, impact in line and hitting middle and leg-stump. 66/2 45.3 to SD Hope, the short ball finally does the trick, and Tickner adds a third to his tally! Dug in short and Hope is a metre or two down the track, meaning the ball gets to him even earlier. He awkwardly tries to bring the bat near his face, and all he can do is glove the ball to Williamson in the slip cordon. Partnership broken, again by Tickner, and WI lose a set batter. 153/4 55.4 to RL Chase, Inside edge and sends the leg-stump cartwheeling! Cranks up the pace, deck-hitting enforcer thumps it on a shorter length and zings it back into off, sharp inward curve and it was too hot to handle for him, didn't bounce as much as he expected. Phillips gets a vital breakthrough, dimisses the last recognised batter with a sharp delivery on a fuller length and he plays down the wrong line, ending up making a mess of his stumps, arms aloft celebration. Took a big stride foward to defend and didn't read the line, looks like it spun away a teeny-tiny bit as well. 199/8 | ||||||||||

13.2 to TWM Latham, Roach is cooking! Pure skill with off-stump pegged back, courtesy a peach. A fullish ball just outside off and Latham pushes the bat forward to defend with minimal footwork. The ball hits the deck and comes in sharply, going past the bat's inside edge, and that's curtains for the captain.. 36/1 34.4 to R Ravindra, and there's the wicket, FELLAS! Full ball, fourth-stump line, and Ravindra - naturally aggressive - goes for the drive with zero footwork. The ball takes the thinnest of edges, and Imlach grabs it comfortably. 30.5 to KS Williamson, Oh, what a sensational delivery! Such a great sight for the bowler and he has got the most accomplished batter in NZ's line-up with an absolute ripper! Disturbs the furniture with a teasing awkward back of a length zone ball that was seamed up and curled away a little very late and Williamson kept searching for the movement and couldn't get behind the line, real quality delivery to get a quality batter, squared him up! Absolute beauty! Much-needed breakthrough for West Indies. 103/2 54.6 to DJ Mitchell, Pitched up and slanting outside leg-stump, tries to help it along its way and it's very close to the bat. West Indies think they have got him and send upstairs for another look. Indeed, there is a slight deflection and there is a spike on ultra-edge and Mitchell cannot believe it, shake of the head while he takes the long walk back to the pavillion. West Indies are absolutely elated and are eyeing quick wickets!. 190/5 70.3 to JA Duffy, taken at fine leg, Kemar Roach with a sharp take! Phillip goes short, Duffy goes for a big heave, looking to drag a pull square, and it has taken a thick top edge, sending the ball to fine leg. 257/8 | ||||||||||

35.1 to DP Conway, catch taken down the leg side! What a loose ball and an even looser shot! The only thing good about that was Imlach's effort, diving to his right at full length. Greaves bowls full and wide outside leg. Conway raises his back leg, excited to flick it fine behind square, but all he does is help the ball down the leg side. 7.4 to A Phillip, Bowls an incredible delivery, fraction short and moving across off-stump, close to the outside edge and off-stump, New Zealand think they have got him caught behind and asked for another opinion. Lunged forward to defend and there is no spike when the ball passed the bat but it then rapped the pads and we have three reds on the DRS! Duffy was adamant he got his man and he does in the end, excellent review! Terrific irksome off-stump line, using the new ball well. 25/2 22.1 to RL Chase, Umpire raises his finger! Roston Chase reviews. The change of ends has worked for Duffy, and the pick of the NZ bowlers has added a second wicket to his name. This was a back of a length ball in the corridor of uncertainty. The rising delivery is met by Chase trying to tiptoe and defend off the back foot. It flies into the keeper's gloves and the appeal is met with a raised finger. But did Chase get any bat on that? That's the million-dollar question...yes, a thin edge, a clear spike, and West Indies lose their fifth, still training by three runs.. 70/5 42.6 to JP Greaves, huge appeal for lbw but not given. It's a fullish ball on off which jags into the batter with a shade of extra bounce. Greaves misses the defensive shot due to the movement, and they scurry across for a leg-bye. Duffy discusses with Latham and NZ take the review. Height will be a factor, but what a genius review! That's crashing into leg stump. Greaves is gone and Duffy earns a third.. 113/7 44.1 to TA Imlach, pouched at second slip! Duffy earns a fourth as he floats a full ball outside off, tempting Imlach to drive. The ball moves away slightly, and very late, and that's enough deviation to force the error. Straight to Latham at a comfortable height. West Indies lose their eighth with the lead only 41.. 114/8 46.2 to O Shields, five-wicket haul for Duffy, first in Christchurch and now in Wellington! WI are all out with a lead of only 55. Duffy digs it in short and Shields swings the bat aimlessly. Slices it high up and fine leg gets under it for a simple one. New Zealand need 56 to take a series lead. 128/10 | ||||||||||

30.4 to KAR Hodge, taken!. WIll Young at short midwicket has come up with a speccy on the second take. Once again NZ break through, this one the result of a short ball that Hodge absolutely nails. Just that he doesn't quite keep it down. Young moves to his left, gets both hands to it the first time which is still not quite enough, which shows just how hard that pull shot was hit. But as the ball pops out, the fielder is alert to a second opportunity and he takes that one one-handed. 88/6 | ||||||||||

6.5 to JD Campbell, Sounds the death rattle! Fraction short and zinged back in at him, he left it on angle, expecting it to stay away from stumps and ends up with. bails flying everywhere! New Zealand get their first breakthrough. Ball pinged the top of off. 24/1 17.6 to SD Hope, that's a second wicket in the over! Hope plays with hard hands and pays the price. Full ball on off and Hope tries to block it with hard hands towards the non-striker, but the ball hits the outside half of the bat and balloons back to the debutant for a very simple catch. 58/4 45.4 to JNT Seales, around the stumps. Full and wide outside off. Seales offers no footwork but does offer a big expansive drive. Kisses the outside edge en route to Hay, who takes the catch in front of his body. 119/9 | ||||||||||
