5.4 to Ibrahim Zadran, Cries of catch it and taken in the slip cordon! Shorter in length and gets a hint of nibble outside off, flirts with danger and a tentative poke at the delivery brings the first wicket for Zimbabwe. Great areas, tight lines and he gets the reward. Fiery celebration. 23/1 25.6 to Bahir Shah, Oh, what a screamer! Muzarabani lets out a "whoooo" in celebration as Bennett flings himself to his left from gully and completes a great grab. Bahir pushes at at back of length delivery outside off and only gets a thick outside edge. Bennett was nearly parallel to the ground when he caught that. Zimbabwe's good day in the field continues with that, and Muzarabani gets a well deserved second wicket. 114/6 27.3 to Ismat Alam, Strangled down the leg side and Muzarabani has a third! Length delivery angled across, and Alam looked to glance it down leg. Think he ended up gloving it behind and Tsiga does the rest. Alam seems disappointed with the decision, but he has no recourse available since there's no DRS in this match. 115/7
| 6 | 0 | 29 | 1 | 4.83 | 20 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
15.3 to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Gurbaz hits it straight to point! Chivanga went full and Gurbaz decided to charge down the track and looks to drive, but slices it straight to Sikandar Raza, and Gurbaz, who was looking good for his 37, has to depart. 77/2
| 9.3 | 2 | 22 | 5 | 2.31 | 46 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
22.1 to Hashmatullah Shahidi, Glorious catch at gully! It's full outside off, hint of movement away, and Shahidi is tempted into the drive. The ball goes hard to Nick Welch's left and he makes no mistake grabbing it low. Huge boost for Zimbabwe just around 10 minutes before lunch!. 100/4 22.5 to Afsar Zazai, And another one goes! What a turnaround for Zimbabwe in this session! Evans is pumped on his Test return with two wickets in an over! This is a length ball outside off with just a nibble away after seaming. Zazai was looking to fend and the outside edge is gobbled up by Tsiga. 102/5 28.1 to Sharafuddin Ashraf, Ashraf looks to counter attack but perishes thanks to another brilliant catch! The Afghan collapse continues! Evans goes full outside off and Ashraf looks to go inside out. Ends up skying it to extra cover's left and Chivanga does well to move to his left and hold on to it while falling in front. 115/8 32.2 to Khalil Gurbaz, And now Evans draws the edge! Khalil backs away again as Evans digs it in short on off. It nips in and cramps the batter who pushes at it only to get a thick edge and Tsiga gobbles it up. 127/9 32.3 to Ziaur Rahman, Knocks him over with a yorker to get that fifer! Zimbabwe wrap up the innings in style! It's a toe-crusher on leg and the debutant can't get his bat down in time. Ricochets off his toes and uproots off stump and Zimbabwe's decision to bowl has been completely vindicated with Afghanistan bowled out for 127. 127/10

3.3 to BJ Bennett, Oh, he's castled him! A maiden Test wicket for Ziaur Rahman! Full on off and it just straightens past the outside edge and sends off stump flying. Ziaur is pumped, as he should be, and Zimbabwe lose their first. 9/1 33.1 to NR Welch, Over the wicket, neither too short, nor too full, gets that big banana inswing and rattles the stumps, he shuffles across a touch and couldn't handle the late inswing, beautiful delivery, a dream delivery for a pacer, send the off-stump cartwheeling and he goes for 49. Can Afghanistan use this window to pick a few more late in the day?. 106/2 45.2 to BRM Taylor, Cricket's not a leveller, it's just a mean-spirited bully! Just ask Taylor, who's back after years and has to walk back, undone by an in-seaming shooter! Good length, lands outside off and nips in. Taylor didn't transfer his weight and tried to defend it straight. Got squared up trying to adjust with the low bounce and the seam. Got beat on the inside edge by a mile. Stumps flying. Zia celebrates as the moody cricket gods smile at him. 154/3 92.4 to TE Tsiga, Too much swing in? No, says Nitin Menon, the ump. Tsiga beaten on the flick as he plays with no footwork and a fully closed bat face. The fullish ball lands around fourth and finishes around leg. Decent knock from Tsiga. Done.. 316/7 92.5 to R Ngarava, No doubts on this one. Zia's used artistry to make Ngarava's batting look like it's that of a tailender. He played the initial line - fourth stump - but the goodest of good-length balls lands around fourth and beats the extra-cover punch. Bat twirls inwards but the ball had done its thing. Ping, go off the bails. Zia turns Bumrah with the high jump and air-punching after taking two in two. 316/8 96.3 to B Muzarabani, Muzarabani clears his front leg and swings, off stump has its feet ungrounded and bounces behind. Scenes. A dismissal from a Tom Cruise stunt scene... Cruise's batting might be similar to the Blessman's - clear front leg and swing for long-on... and the ball goes away and smacks off - like it did here. Of course Cruise will do multiple takes and editors will fix scenes in post-production... Also, Muzarabani next to Cruise would be a hell of photo - height-wise. Sorry, back to the cricket now. 335/9 102.6 to TL Chivanga, Now this looks very close and given! Huge appeal and umpire raises the finger. Length ball slanting in, swings just enough to beat his bat and raps him in front, excellent figures for Rahman, picks his seventh and cleans up the tail. Bowled a stupendous spell!. 359/10

75.3 to Sikandar Raza, Miscues the skier and gone! Big sigh of relief for Afghanistan! He went down to for a slog sweep and wanted to tonk it away, lost his shape and wasn't in control, hits very low on the bat and taken by Yamin who ran across deep square. A loose shot and a lapse of concentration, admonishes himself while taking the long walk back into the paviliion. 264/5
| 15 | 2 | 51 | 2 | 3.40 | 70 | 9 | 0 | 0 | 2 | |
48.5 to CR Ervine, Oh thanks for coming. Lifetime's experience mocked... it's that pitch again. Moody, spiteful, giving little to no room for error. Ervine's back foot was in front of leg stump, front foot was slightly forward and across on off. He tried to flick the fullish ball angling in. Slightly across the line, beat the inside edge and hit the pad flush. No Hawk-Eye but that'd be impact middle, smashing middle or leg, if not both. Replay shows it hit him on the back leg, just over the pad, as Ervine lost balance and his upper-body leaned far forward. 165/4 89.4 to BJ Curran, Around the wicket, on a length or thereabouts and slanting into the pads and he hasn't connected! Convincng appeal for an lbw and umpire raises the finger in agreement! His foot is. behind the line and Curran departs after a wonderful innings! But certainly the new ball has done the trick and it's been tough to contend with conditions in the last 30 minutes or so. Credit to Ismat for creating two opportunities in this last over before TEA. 302/6

29.4 to Bahir Shah, The short one has finally worked for Muzarabani and Zimbabwe! That is so poor from Bahir. He's caught in knots as a short ball angles into his body, he is in no position to play it safely, so he just fends at it, and the ball pops up off the top of his bat for Curran to take an absolute dolly at short leg.. 109/5 42.3 to Khalil Gurbaz, That was coming. Muzarabani goes full and straight. Khalil backs away and misses a slog again, this time Muzarabani has got the line perfect for the ball to clatter into leg-stump.. 159/9 42.6 to Ziaur Rahman, There it is! Zimbabwe win! Muzarabani finishes it off with a perfect yorker, as the ball clatters into the base of middle stump.. 159/10

3.6 to Abdul Malik, Wide of the crease, dug in short and angled on middle, he tries to break the shackles and free his arms, late on the pull and taken by the man at deep backward square. Muzarabani charging in from long leg makes no mistake and hangs onto it brilliantly. Zimbabwe get their first wicket and Afghanistan would have dearly liked to stay unscathed till the stumps but not to be. 10/1 17.6 to Ibrahim Zadran, is that another one taken down the leg side? Oh yeah, again! Fullish ball angling down the leg side and he tries to flick, but all he has done is help the ball into Tsiga's gloves.. 59/3 19.5 to Hashmatullah Shahidi, overpitched ball just outside off. He offers minimal footwork, and tries to fend, but the ball shapes away slightly and takes the outside edge to the slip cordon! Second slip dives forward and holds on.. 60/4 37.3 to Ismat Alam, one-handed take by the keeper! Oh that's a stunning catch. Length ball outside off and he slashes away from his body. Tsiga dives to his right, gets in front of first slip, but it has stuck in his webbing.. 135/7 39.5 to Sharafuddin Ashraf, that's five for Ngarava - the first time for him in Test cricket! Good length ball outside off and angling in. He fishes for a cut outside off and gets a thick edge to second slip.. 142/8

14.3 to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, short ball angling down leg and he goes for the pull. But all he can do is get a glove on it and the ball has been pouched with ease!. 43/2 34.1 to Afsar Zazai, Chivanga is roaring again, and that's a soft, soft dismissal for Zazai. Full and wide outside off, Zazai doesn't quite commit to the drive fully, and he only manages to lob it into the hands of backward point, where Evans takes an easy catch.. 127/6
