Devine wants to turn this to leg and tries to aim too square. Plays all around it in the end, with the ball knocking back middle stump. Length ball hidden well outside off. Kanwar swishes at it because, well, why not. Scuffs it a touch too and Rodrigues, stood right on the ring at mid off, accepts the offering with glee. 8.5 to AB Sharma, in the air again, and taken this time! Tossed up on a fullish length on off. Anushka chances her luck with the slog sweep but like the previous ball, fails in her pursuit for adequate elevation. Another flat hit straight to the fielder and Minnu Mani makes no mistake at deep mid wicket!. 73/2 14.4 to G Wareham, middle stump out of the ground, and Wareham has to go! Flighted up on a length on middle stump. Wareham winds up for an almighty swipe but is nowhere to the pitch of the ball. The ball straightens off the surface and that is enough to take it past the swiping blade and onto middle stump. DC keep chipping away!. 128/4 17.1 to KS Gautam, three for Charani, and the Giants are crumbling now! Back of a length on middle and off. Sticks in the surface and then spins away just a shade. Gautam tries to work this too square on the leg side and ends up missing it altogether. Hears the death rattle soon after, and this GG innings has hit a submerged log!. 139/7 17.6 to KS Ahuja, lbw shout, not given! DC review! Pulls the length back slightly outside off but plenty of revs on this, meaning the ball drops, grips and spins back in. Ahuja, having advanced, plays all over it and gets pinged on the back leg. Was it doing too much? She could be in trouble here. Clear gap between bat and ball, and Ball Tracking has the ball crashing into leg stump too. 2.2 to Shafali Verma, an ugly hoick, and Shafali bites the dust! Flighted up full and this is hung up way outside off. Shafali tries to fetch it but has to reach out far too much. Miscues it completely and Gardner, who has stationed herself at long on, gobbles up the chance. Gayakwad among the wickets again, and DC, after a brisk start, have been pegged back!. 26/1 12.3 to L Wolvaardt, timmmmbbbbeerrrrr again, and GG all over DC now! Slowed up on a length just outside off. Wolvaardt has a wild swipe at it, despite not being to the pitch of the ball. Has a swish at thin air and the ball rattles into the outside of off stump. Gayakwad has two, GG have five, and DC, now clutching at hope!. 85/5 14.3 to CA Henry, astute take on the fence, and Henry falls too! Tossed up generously on a length just outside off. Grips in the surface and spins away. Henry has an agricultural swipe at it and shanks it. Gardner, stood right near the rope at long on, takes it over her head and then maintains her balance to tiptoe her way out of potential trouble. 5.6 to L Lee, lifted in the air, but only to mid on! Fullish on middle and off. There to be hit and Lee feels so too. She tries to go downtown but cloths her attempt badly. The ball pops up off the inside half of the bat and Gardner, back-pedaling, takes it comfortably in front of her face. GG with a timely breakthrough!. 51/2 10.6 to JI Rodrigues, Rodrigues misses her scoop and perishes! It's a slower ball on a length on middle and Rodrigues shuffles across and shapes for a shot she frequents, but on this occasion, she's missed the ball completely and it clatters into the stumps. 82/3 19.4 to S Rana, smoked straight to Wareham, and deja vu for the Delhi Capitals, all over again! Cometh the hour, cometh Sophie Devine. Off-pace on a back of a length on off. Rana marches down the track and clubs it to deep mid wicket. Could not have picked out Wareham better if she tried, and the DC have that sinking feeling in the tummy again in a Devne last over!. 170/7 19.6 to NS Prasad, slapped to long on, and there is heartbreak for the Delhi Capitals against Devine and the Gujarat Giants again! Absolute pandemonium. The Capitals do not know where to look. The Giants do not know how they have pulled off another classic and another final-over heist against the same opposition. This is banged in short, tucking up the batter, despite Prasad backing away. She cannot free her arms and all she manages is a slap straight to the GG skipper at long on.
