47.2 to MEK Hussey, what a comeback that is! Quicker, much fuller and straighter. Hussey tried to open the face and guide him out square, but lost his middle stump. 237/5

18.5 to SR Watson, gone! There's the breakthrough for England, Watson gets a leading edge back to Collingwood as he tries to work through the leg side and it's a dolly of a catch. Clever bowling from Collingwood. 93/2 42.3 to MJ Clarke, down the wicket, tries to drive down the ground but is squared up, the ball eventually squeezing low to Shah at cover who dives forward to make a good, tackling catch. 190/4

4.3 to AJ Strauss, gone! there's the breakthrough for Australia, Strauss flashes hard outside off and sends a comfortable catch to Cameron White at slip, who bounces it in front of his face. The width was on offer for Strauss and the cut is a strong shot. 22/1

37.3 to OA Shah, a nurdle off his pads for a single. Or two? Er, no, he's out - he's not just stepped on the stumps, he's trampled on them as though his leg stump was Joe Denly's left knee. Gone! What a calamitous way for him to depart. 161/4 39.5 to PD Collingwood, excellent catch by Watson, really excellent! Collingwood goes on the pull to one outside the off stump, but he mistimes it. Watson had to make a big leap but he, on the other hand, timed it perfectly to pluck it out of the air! Great stuff. 168/5 41.3 to SCJ Broad, another one goes, banged in on off stump, Broad tries to upper-cut it over point but instead just lobs a catch to Clarke inside the circle and Australia are scenting the win here. 178/6

20.1 to MJ Prior, that's gone! Prior goes for the reverse sweep and is well caught a short third man...that was a pretty needless shot in the circumstances, with these two having set a platform, and Prior hangs his head before walking off. 83/2 28.3 to RS Bopara, Hauritz gets the breakthrough...a nice piece of bowling as he flights the ball past the outside edge and Bopara drags his foot outside the crease. Bopara knows he's out as Paine whips off the bails and is almost off the ground by the time the third umpire confirms the decision. 124/3

47.4 to GP Swann, another goes and Australia close in, a slower ball from Watson and Swann gets a thick outside edge as he swings hard. A regulation catch for Paine who has had an excellent day with the gloves after his earlier run out for a duck. 229/8 |
