13.1 to RD Rickelton, Archer strikes! Rickelton looks to take on this length ball outside off, trying to whip it leg-side but only manages a top edge that goes high up. Buttler settles under it and makes no mistake! Rickelton goes for 35 after looking so good until that shot!. 73/1 39.6 to MP Breetzke, Archer nails the yorker and it's given! But South Africa review Slower ball, and the yorker dips late on Breetzke. Did he get his bat down? Not in time. Breetzke has started to walk before ball-tracking comes on. Ball-tracking confirms that that was crashing into middle. A bit of an odd review, but maybe the fact that he was close to his century is what prompted that. But it's been yet another dazzling knock from Matthew Breetzke. Walks off to applause. Archer, meanwhile, has given England a crucial breakthrough. 240/4 49.1 to S Muthusamy, Given immediately! Archer nails another yorker and Muthusamy walks back. Angles in this yorker from outside off, Muthusamy had a hoick across the line but missed. Impact could have been outside off, but Muthusamy didn't review!. 326/7 49.6 to KA Maharaj, Four for Archer as he castles Maharaj! Maharaj got across the stumps trying to scoop a 140kph full toss on the stumps. No surprise that he doesn't connect and Archer finishes a good spell with a wicket. England will now chase 331!. 330/8

14.4 to T Bavuma, Oh, what a beauty! Drift, dip and spin sends Bavuma back to the hut! Tossed up on off, and it drifts in. Spins away to take a thin edge as Bavuma presses forward in defence. Buttler gobbles it up and the finger goes up immediately! Miller's prophecy looking more and more ominous now!. 78/2 18.6 to AK Markram, Markram is toast now! Rashid's second, and it's the big fish. Not his best ball, but the variety after that previous ripper did the trick. Markram tried to get forceful as a relative long-hop kicked through, cramping him a touch as he tried to launch down the ground. A looping miscue pops up to the bowler in his followthrough... and South Africa lose their third for 20.... 93/3
5 | 0 | 61 | 1 | 12.20 | 6 | 5 | 3 | 3 | 0 | |
45.2 to D Brevis, Bethell has the last laugh! That's a soft wicket as Brevis looks to cut away this short-ish ball and ends up getting a top edge that lobs to Adil Rashid at backward point. Brevis falls for 42 off 20. A stunning knock, but maybe not enough, considering he also ran Stubbs out!. 297/6

0.1 to JL Smith, inside-edge, nicked to the keeper! What a stunning start from Nandre! Hits his length from over the wicket with pace and bounce at 87mph, and a hint of movement back into the right-hander. Smith tries to get into line, can't cope with the extra lift, and Rickelton scoops it up! England's one source of momentum at Headingley is gone already!. 0/1 46.1 to BA Carse, high hoist through the length ball! But Carse has got more height than distance! Leaning back on impact, Markram sets himself beneath the floodlights, and makes no mistake!. 288/7 46.5 to WG Jacks, low full toss, cuffed to point, that's surely the match! Burger's slower balls messed with his alignment. He loses his shape as he goes for broke across the line, and Maharaj clings on. 290/8
10 | 0 | 72 | 1 | 7.20 | 29 | 6 | 2 | 4 | 0 | |
42.3 to JC Buttler, slower ball, done like a kipper! Buttler came for a charge, but the ball was under 70mph and dipped below a flailing bat, hitting the crease on a yorker length and pinging back middle stump! Another fine but under-fulfilled innings from an England batter, and now South Africa really are in charge!. 256/6
10 | 1 | 38 | 1 | 3.80 | 36 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
23.3 to JG Bethell, Bosch breaks through! Brevis holds on to a good catch at backward point! Short and wide and he goes for the cut again and it flies to Brevis' right at backward point and he makes it look easy! Brevis is delighted with himself for that effort and rightly so! And Bethell goes for a very well made 58. Turned the momentum of this game single-handedly!. 143/3
10 | 0 | 59 | 2 | 5.90 | 26 | 5 | 1 | 0 | 0 | |
12.5 to BM Duckett, reverse sweep, splatters the stumps! It's a mercy-killing for a formless innings. Such a good get-out shot when he's on song, but on this occasion the ball skids off from its initial middle-and-off line and thumps the middle of middle. 66/2 24.5 to JE Root, Maharaj has Root stumped! Outfoxes him in the flight and Root is a goner! Root came down the track to this loopy delivery and got nowhere near it. He knew he had to walk back the moment he walked past the ball! Rickelton was quick behind the stumps and the game is blown wide open!. 147/4

8 | 0 | 61 | 1 | 7.62 | 22 | 4 | 4 | 0 | 0 | |
36.3 to HC Brook, big turn, loose shot! Brook was utterly suckered by that one, it was just back of a length but gripped so hard, away from the bat, as Brook's hard hands hacked through, and he couldn't hit the brakes quickly enough! A big looping chance plops out to cover, and the hunted turns hunter at a vital juncture of the chase! Not the cleanest take from Bavuma, but it'll do!. 216/5 |
