Brilliant effort by Chanderpaul and Sarwan. 80 from nine overs was a fairly facile target, though their younger guys at the top of the order did lose their heads. Sarwan and Chanderpaul showed all their experience, knocking them off with ease. So there ends England's tumultuous World Twenty20 and they join the likes of India and Australia in the losers' camp, while West Indies are now sat happily in the semis. You couldn't make it up, honestly. We'll be back tomorrow with New Zealand's crunch match against Sri Lanka - do join us then.

Sidebottom to Sarwan, FOUR runs

smashed over extra cover and West Indies are into the semi-finals!

West Indies are already celebrating in the dug-out

1
Sidebottom to Chanderpaul, 1 run

full toss, banged through midwicket to Morgan, the substitute fielder for Rashid

Foster's standing up. Pietersen's made a suggestion to Collingwood. Everyone's chipping in. Here we go:

Sidebottom to bowl the final over with 3 to win. He has nothing to play with, but Collingwood is in deep discussion nevertheless. Hopeless task really. Anderson's wading in. Here we go: 3 from 6

So then. 4 from 7. One hit will do it. Here we go...

Broad to Chanderpaul, FOUR runs

a full toss on his legs and that's four, and undoubtedly the match! Clips it quite square and Rashid, very fine at fine-leg, hasn't a hope. West Indies have one foot in the semis!

8 from 8. England are sinking here

Broad to Chanderpaul, 2 runs

shorter delivery and pulls this into the gap at midwicket - again for two. Very good placement indeed. This pair are so experienced, they've been around forever and have showed such calm sense

3
Broad to Chanderpaul, 3 runs

pulled down to fine-leg, Rashid slips and they get through for two. It's so slippery out there - it absolutely bucketed down earlier, if you're just joining us

Look! There's John Dyson with the Duckworth-Lewis sheet. Oh dear.

Remember: the winner of tonight's match go through to the semis. The loser goes home with nothing, as Anne Robinson might say.

That could be the match for West Indies
