He shared a 166-run second wicket stand with opener Ziaur Rahman, who smashed seven sixes and six fours in his 69-ball 89.

His elder brother Nafees, however, held the innings together, his 150 coming off 140 balls with 21 fours and a six. But after he retired hurt, the chase floundered. Mehrab Hossain jr's 23 was by the next highest score as Brothers Union were bowled out for 255 in the 46th over.
Meanwhile, the match between Victoria Sporting Club and Kalabagan Cricket Academy in Savar was called off at 1.55pm due to a wet outfield caused by overnight rain. There had been steady showers in the area over the last few days and play has been postponed to Wednesday.
