2.1 to Hazratullah Zazai, a wicket finally, he swings against the short ball and gets a top-edge to mid-on. Archer pitched it short again, good pace, Hazratullah opened his stance again and pulled but only managed a top edge for Moeen Ali. 17/1
4.6 to Rahmat Shah, that's a dolly for mid-on! Shortish from Archer, the batsman was mainly in two minds - whether to pull or clear mid-on - and he ended up chipping it straight to Plunkett at mid-on. 25/2
38.4 to Mohammad Nabi, slashed down the third man, and Bairstow grabs with a juggle! That's the end of the fun, Jonny didn't have to move as he reached up to grab, but as he started to topple back towards the rope, he had the presence of mind to lob the ball back into play, steady himself, and complete a well-judged catch. 160/10

11.4 to Noor Ali Zadran, gone through him and his off stump is gone! Noor Ali hardly moved his feet for that ball that was around short of length just outside off, he brought his bat down with an awkward angle and got an inside edge onto the off stump. 49/3

16.2 to Asghar Afghan, slapped straight to long-on! Shades of the World T20 Final in Kolkata! Taking on the ego of the batsman, beating him with late dip on a good length, and Afghanistan lose another wicket! Silly shot, but Root has that effect on batsmen... they do like to beat him into the next county. 66/4
24.4 to Rashid Khan, an ambitious back-foot drive, a fat edge, and Stokes snaffles another sharp chance! So good from England, just turning the screw in the field - lovely balance at slip as Stokes went at the ball with both hands to his right - and Afghanistan might want to pack this game up and start again. 92/8
32.3 to Aftab Alam, chipped up in the air, straight to point. Loose from Aftab, he hung around for a while, but that was too hard-handed in the circumstances, slashing outside off, taking a top edge and leaving Rashid with catching practice. 127/9

23.5 to Gulbadin Naib, a flat-footed flap down the ground, Stokes steadies himself at long-on, and the wheels are coming off for Afghanistan now!. 88/6

7.2 to JM Bairstow, beaten outside off, that one didn't turn, and there's an appeal for stumping. Bairstow came out of his crease in order to reach the pitch of the ball, but the ball barely turned in and he was beaten on the outside edge. Rahmat Shah didn't collect the ball cleanly but the ball bounced off his gloves and went on to hit the stumps and then dislodge the balls. Where's Bairstow? His foot is just a few centimetres in the air. 77/1
