Butt finishes it off in style, there was width outside off and he got across and smashed it square of the wicket on the offside, it raced along the turf to the boundary
Pakistan vs Bangladesh, 12th Match, Super Four at Karachi, Jul 04 2008 - Match Result
This is Pakistan's first ever 10-wicket win in Asia Cup history and perhaps the most one-sided match of the tournament. Pakistan decimated a team low on confidence with a fine all-round effort, fashioned by Abdur Rauf, Iftikhar Anjum, Salman Butt and Nasir Jamshed. A word of praise for Saeed Ajmal as well. I suppose we're going to see a lot more of him in the near future at least.
Stay with us for the presentation.

Here's Mohammad Ashraful: "The wicket was good, a little slow. Me and Tamim had a good partnership but I suddenly got out. I thought we played pretty good cricket in the last two games before this. Raqibul and Kapali batted well in this tournament."
Abdur Rauf is the Man of the Match for his 3 for 24.
Shoaib Malik: "The bowlers did their job and the openers batted brilliantly. I have no problem batting anywhere. I was struggling a bit (dehydration) but I had four drips. We made a few mistakes, against Sri Lanka, which was why we didn't qualify for the final. We're looking ahead to the Champions Trophy. I wish India and SL best of luck for the final."
Thanks for joining us. The final's coming up in a couple of days. I'm hoping, for a change, the teams play in similar conditions. The final should ideally be a good contest between bat and ball.
On behalf of Binoy George, this is Kanishkaa signing off. Cheers!
stretches forward to drive and gets a thick inside edge which misses the stumps
hits a good length outside off and he pushes it to the offside
Reza bangs in a bouncer and Jamshed is beaten for pace on the hook, the umpire signals one bouncer for the over
slightly wide outside off, he cuts towards point and a fumble results in a couple
floated on the pads this time and he sweeps and places it fine this time, the ball races along the turf and Butt brings up his half-century, Bangladesh must be sick and tired of him. He scored 450 odd runs against them in the five-match series in April
stays back and pushes this one to long-on
and again, he flights it on middle and he slogs it square this time, enough to fetch another boundary
Butt gets into the act this time, he slog sweeps with the turn and the ball is airborne for a while but well clear of any fielder
he picks it from wide outside the offstump and controls the sweep well to beat midwicket, he brings up his fifty with that shot
full outside off and he scoops it over extra cover for a couple
he's beaten on the drive and Rahim vociferously appeals for a catch, he had no supprt though
defended to the offside
Effortless! Flighted on off and middle, Jamshed stays at the crease, waits for the ball to come onto him and meely lofts through the line and clears wide long-on
bowls it a touch too wide outside off, the ball straightens again but Butt makes room and adjusts well to spank it past extra cover
he works it to midwicket
slides on the pads, he gets on his knee and sweeps to deep square leg, Shahadat does well to slide and mop it up
flighted outside off, Butt plays a neat front foot defense
