Litton Das: " The wicket looked good to bat on. I thought the way Emon played was really amazing to watch. But we have to finish well, because in the last three wickets we could not score that much. I know my bowlers, anytime they can come back. But at the same time, the UAE batters played really well. Credit goes to them for the way they batted in the middle overs. We have to focus on our bowling as well. We have to learn this wicket and the ground, like what ball should suit this ground. (Positive) Definitely the confidence. The way everyone bowled and the calmness. In the middle, it looked a bit 50-50, but the way all the bowlers bowled in the middle, it was amazing. (Huge support in UAE) Whenever we play, our supporters come and enjoy watching the game. Their support is really amazing too."
Muhammad Waseem: "My reading about the game was, to be honest, that we were winning the game. But unfortunately, we lost wickets in the middle. And I think Asif also played a good knock, and Rahul too. But I think they (Bangladesh) bowled well in the last couple of overs. I think we gave 20-25 runs (extra) because we were thinking of 150-160 runs. And (Emon) played a good knock. We bowled well, actually, and we know the condition of the Sharjah Stadium, we can do that, and we tried our best. (Three debutants) They got a chance because they are performing here in domestic cricket. I am happy for them. And I hope they will do better in the next games."
Player of the Match Parvez Hossain Emon: "It's obviously special for me (century). It's my maiden International cricket century. So it will be special for me. I am assessing the wicket and trying to stay with my process, stick with my plan, and go for it. I tried my best."
CK: "A lot of talks about Littons' captaincy. At the end the decision of holding mahedi's last over won Bangladesh the game. A great captaincy from Litton."
AJ: "Tanzim Sakib also came back brilliantly in his final two over spell, taking two for four. Bangladesh have a potent bowling attack but their batting raises questions, but I think Emon's knock today will alleviate some top order headaches."
10:45 pm The UAE started well, scoring 38 runs in the opening three overs while punishing Bangladesh's weak new-ball bowling. However, they lost two wickets in rapid succession during the Powerplay. Rahul Chopra then took the initiative, hitting 19 runs off Hasan Mahmud's over shortly after the Powerplay, setting a fast tempo for the innings. Bangladesh recovered their way back when Tanzim Hasan Sakib's superb bowling took out the UAE captain in the 12th over. The momentum shifted once more in the 13th over, when Asif Khan hit three big sixes off Mahedi Hasan, scoring 25 runs. Despite this late push, Asif Khan eventually found himself alone; his teammates were unable to provide the support he needed to chase down the total. The main difference was the lack of a significant innings like Parvez Hossain Emon's century. Ultimately, Bangladesh's experienced team kept their composure and refused to let the game slip away. Tanzim Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman produced great spells that often changed the momentum. Hasan Mahmud took the most wickets, three, although all of the bowlers contributed with the wickets. Post Match Presentation Ceremony coming up shortly.
