deflects off the thigh pad, past the diving Carters and into the fine leg boundary.

That brings us to the end of what has been another super day at the BBL. Plenty of cricket going on. Afghanistan are on the verge of a series win against Zimbabwe, while a good contest is brewing in Cape Town, where England have done quite well on the first morning. Hop over to those tabs. Until next time. it's goodbye from all of us here at the commentary desk.
Troy: "Came home, turned the TV on and see Cowan playing a T20 game. I guess I've seen everything now." He seems to have become more robust with his shot selection, according to Adam Gilchrist. Wonder if he was joking. Coming back to today, he was undone by one that kept low. Can't really fault him for that tonight
Sixers were ordinary with the bat, and Scorchers have absolutely decimated them on a cracker of a pitch here at the WACA. Sixers slip further in the tournament. The defending champs have lost just one wicket in the last two matches. Shaun Marsh was absolutely brilliant with his stroke play, but it was the bowlers that set the game up for the Scorchers. The pacers, particularly David Willey, varied his lengths superbly, while Joel Paris impressed with his pace.
David Willey is the Man of the Match for his 3 for 22 Must have been hard to pick, isn't it? All the bowlers did well. The batsmen have been clinical.
right into the blockhole, jams his bat down in time to keep that out
full on middle and leg, flicked to deep backward square
closer to the stumps, full on off, defended with soft hands
short and he's hammered that into the deep square leg boundary. How quickly does he pick lengths up? This one wasn't all that slow a delivery, but he rolled his wrists over that one nicely to generate power
slower and fuller on off, he reaches out for it and carves it over cover point, easily done
Kunal: "The dark knight sailing to a win here, hope the Man of steel bounces back next time."
cramped for room, he dabs it to the off side, point fielder quickly comes in to stop the ball
full on off, defended to short cover
helped down to fine leg
slapped wide of cover, he'll keep the strike.
goes over the top, and gets enough wood on it, nearly carry all the way over long-on. Didn't get to the pitch but went through with the stroke, the fierce swing just about lands on the half-volley
too short, he picks the length early and crunches that over mid-on, one bounce into the boundary
pulled towards deep midwicket
punched towards wide long-off
stretches forward and defends it to cover
flicks the thigh pad and beats the keeper's lunge into the fine leg boundary
flicked away down to deep square this time, the slower one was neatly turned from middle, 11th T20 fifty for Shaun Marsh. Appreciation from his home fans
excellent wrist work to bisect the gap between deep square and deep fine leg. Too short and he picked the length really early
tucked wide of the bowler on the leg side for a quick single
yorker-length on off, squeezed back past the bowler
