2.3 to Fakhar Zaman, Samson takes a low catch, subdued celebrations but Samson jogs in for a high-five with Hardik and India are claiming it. Sent upstairs. Clear edge, pictures being frozen and video being slow-moed as the ball goes low. Samson had is gloves on the ground, he was lunging forward with his left knee on the ground. Third umpire says the fingers (gloves) were underneath the ball. Fakhar isn't convinced but has to walk back. Whacks his pad with his bat on the way. The speed was 131ks if I saw it right, although it also seemed like Hardik rolled his fingers across the ball. Three-quarter length on fourth, Fakhar was walking into the block. 21/1

13.1 to Hussain Talat, Talat looks to end the boundary-drought and gets caught at short third. 84ks stock ball on a length from Kuldeep, off-stump line, Talat wanted to go aerial and played on the rise. Shaved it off the top edge, easy catch for Varun. Kuldeep's smile is back. That was looped above the eyeline. 110/3

10.3 to Saim Ayub, Abhishek finally catches one off Ayub. Missed two earlier but ran in from deep-backward square, put in the full-length drive in front and held with both hands as he slid forward. Throws the ball forward and roars. Kuldeep was running back from the ring, he veered away as Abhishek called for it. Was a back-of-length ball on off, Ayub went on one leg and pulled it off the top edge. Got away with one earlier but not this time. 21 off 17 isn't great but a marked improvement after the ducks. He might stay at No. 3 next game. 93/2 14.1 to Sahibzada Farhan, Farhan loses the grip on his bat... and his wicket. Another one for Dube. Offcutter into the pitch wide of off, Farhan took a step across and wanted to cut the leather off of it. Flung his bat towards square leg and the ball went right up, easy catch for SKY at mid-off. Away from the arc working for the bowler with the batter going for a big shot. 115/4 |

12.2 to Abhishek Sharma, caught at long-on. The googly from Abrar, into the wicket and spinning away from the left-hander. Abhishek rocks back to kind of hook the ball over the top. Rauf runs in from the boundary to take a good catch and flings the ball away in frustration of how long its taken this wicket to fall. Spell-binding innings from Abhishek. He's set India on course. Now its up to their middle-order, which they keep saying is fluid and capable, with any of them ready to finish games, to finish games. 123/3

10.3 to SA Yadav, leading edge and taken at deep third. Surya goes cheaply. He gives early notice of what he wants to do, his set up shifting him across his crease. He wants that scoop over square leg. Rauf holds his nerve well and Surya, a touch too early into the cross-bat swipe, watches the ball land safely in Abrar's hands. 106/2

9.5 to Shubman Gill, off stump knocked out. Gill sees a length ball outside off and goes for the drive on the up, but that's the trap Ashraf's set. The ball pitches and nips in and the gap between bat and pad because of the shot option allows the ball to careen into the stumps. Good skills from Ashraf. Wicket first ball after drinks. Does that redress the balance of the game? India still only need 67 off 61 with nine batters in hand.. 105/1 |
